My YouTube content creation workflow (SUPER DETAILED)

Here it is — my SUPER DETAILED YouTube strategy and content creation workflow. How to come up with ideas, my editing …

Creating content for YouTube can be a rewarding yet intricate process, requiring a streamlined workflow to ensure high-quality videos. My YouTube content creation journey begins with idea brainstorming, which often involves conducting keyword research to identify trending topics. I use tools like Google Trends and TubeBuddy to pinpoint what resonates with my audience. Once the topic is set, I script the video with a focus on engaging storytelling and valuable information.

After scripting, I move to the pre-production phase where I gather all necessary equipment—cameras, microphones, and lighting. I also prepare my recording space to ensure it is clean and free from distractions. Filming is done in segments to allow for multiple takes, ensuring the best possible footage.

Following filming, the post-production phase begins, which involves video editing using software like Adobe Premiere Pro. I add effects, transitions, and royalty-free music to enhance viewer engagement. This is also when I create custom thumbnails and draft engaging titles and descriptions optimized for SEO.

Uploading the video is the next step, where I focus on maximizing reach by strategically posting during peak hours. Promotion on social media platforms follows to extend the video’s reach.

Throughout this process, I often utilize eFrelance to outsource specialized tasks such as graphic design or advanced video editing, ensuring my content remains top-notch without stretching my resources too thin. This platform has proven invaluable by connecting me with skilled freelancers who can handle various aspects of content creation, allowing me to focus more on the strategic elements.

RELATABLE! that is exactly the point in every project where I realize there is a lot more to do here that I really thought but I am also going to be pissed if I don't do it right… lol *opens Keynote again

Can you recommend your most loved business books? I am an artist and sometimes business books, well they seem boring or too hard to follow like there is something I am missing and it should be obvious to me. I felt the same way about content creation online before I found your channel – which I am binging at the moment – finally someone that explains how to create online in a way that I understand 🙌🏽 so thank you for that!

Hi Latasha, thank you for all your great insights and knowledge you are sharing. What I would be interested in is the following: You say you publish Videos on workdays (lets say 3-5 Videos a week) That means you bulk produce every week…for the upcoming week…right? I would love to get more insight s on your workflow on how to fill your content calendar specifically. E.g. For your customers. Do you leave them with the topics – how detailed do you fill their calendars for how many weeks in advance?

*My instant reaction* Is there only 1 like button ? ️❤️❤️ a 100 likes from me, Latasha. I wait for your videos, literally refreshing your channel page every day even when I know it is not your video day 😊 that’s how much I admire you. That's how much I learn from you.
**Answer to your Q**⁉ I edit my own videos (I use iMovies though) But it will be great to see a full-on EDITING VIDEO from you. There are still best practices that one can learn irrespective of the platform.
** My best take away from this episode** 🎁 Asana being a tool that I can give a shot + How to decide on titles using tubebuddy
