I'm most likely creating a small discord community of people who are interested in art + business where we can get together and talk about growth, finances, marketing, and connect with other creators + new business owners for collaborations and mentorships. So keep an eye out for that! I'm currently building out the community and making sure everything is nice and organized. Hope you guys enjoyed the video.
@dellenga
I`m only starting out and it`s all just so overwhelming. Everyone asks for experience, I am starting to think that it`s impossible to find any freelance projects at all and I`ll be stuck at some 9-5 till death or by some miracle becoming famous.

I would like to know more about freelancer but about digital art because my thing is that I like to create characters and also background how I could able to start something like that. I did great a certain character design but I'm too afraid that if I post this somebody going to steal my ideas

Easy way is paying for rendering, you need to render a video even when you are not at your desk. The amount of people I know who do not charge for rendering even if its all night is crazy.
@BlueCatArt
I love your humour haha

Why the hell does your avatar have a mask on? It's not going to get sick.

So, Long story short. One must go all turbo mode and hit the world with whatever they've got and learned in such a way that their time doing those things makes something out of it.

I plan to leave my job in February as right now I’m working with family and that already has difficulties besides the other problems that have come up. It’s been a dream of mine to freelance so I’m trying my best to get myself up and running as close to when I leave the job
@cr0uchingtiger
I made 6 figures last year (on $500 US per day) but some of the advice here isn't great imo. Cold calling is a waste of time. It's very slow but the only way to truly improve your chances of charging big and getting work is to aim to be the absolute best you can and pursue that goal aggressively. Hell, the very best digital artists make double what I make. But DAMN they good.
@karasunomugi

Just stumbled onto this video while scrolling, but digital artist or not, you gave us a lot of valuable insights into just freelancing in general. This was super informational for me to guide my design & development freelancing journey. Thanks man!

"You get to sleep until noon"
Yeah but does it really count when you didn't go to sleep until the sun was up?
@kassondrakrahn
This was really well done thank you!
@quwane
ik 1k per day doesn't exist much in this area of job but why'd you lie like that on the thumbnail
@alittleofsomething
I haven't watched the video fully yet. I've personally been earning only around 200 euros per month doing digital 2D commissions to people who want them. I recently took a part time job to earn more money and actually have disposable income. I make so little that it doesn't count for taxes in my country. I need to be earning, like, maybe over 15 thousand euros per year to qualify or whatever? I really got no clue on that, nor I want to find out, really. My country sucks ass with taxes, they take a lot. But I do see I'm not acting like a professional freelance artist, so I shouldn't complain about not getting many jobs. :/ Like no proper portfolio and whatnot.
@TheToneBender
Spent ages in college. Got an office job which I worked for like 2 years. Been unemployed for almost a year now, but started drawing again. I barely drew in the last decade. Haven't had this much fun in for last decade either. Still suck at drawing though, but I'm definitely improving and working on building an audience.

certainly like your website but you need to take a look at the spelling on quite a few of your posts Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very troublesome to inform the reality nevertheless I will definitely come back again
